Stewardship
Aid & Services Atlas stays useful when local information stays accurate. Stewards help verify and improve listings for a specific area.
County-focused
Lightweight process
Quality over quantity
What is a steward?
A steward is a trusted volunteer or partner who keeps resource listings current for a defined region, typically a county or city.
- Verify phone numbers, hours, websites, and addresses
- Add missing services and eligibility details
- Flag duplicates, closures, and outdated resources
- Keep notes concise and factual
What stewardship is not
The goal is accuracy, not promotion. We do not accept pay-to-rank listings.
- No selling “featured” placement
- No editing outside your assigned area
- No collecting sensitive personal data
- No vague or exaggerated descriptions
How it works
1
Apply
Tell us the county you want to steward and your connection to the area.
2
Get access
We provide a straightforward process to edit only the data you steward.
3
Make updates
Fix what’s wrong, add what’s missing, and keep changes factual and verifiable.
4
Review and publish
Changes are checked for formatting and consistency before going live.
Note: Stewardship access is granted gradually, starting small and expanding as trust is built.
